De Grote Vlakte (The Great Plain)

The name for the large expanse of grassland on the far Western portion of th The Table. Homeland of the Thate people. The area is known for having hot summers and mild winters. The ecology of the area is similar to that of the American Midwest and animals such typical grassland and plains vegetation and animals can be found here. The ground is condusive to farming but very little of it is touched by the Thate for that purpose.

Tornadoes are a somewhat common occurance in this area but the Thate are able to predict the storms with some accuracy to avoid them altogether.
