# Sanya

Sanya was a male [Minnoar](https://bookstack.home.mwr247.com/books/elves-minnoar), the first of his race, created in the [The Prehistoric Age](https://bookstack.home.mwr247.com/books/creation-of-the-world/page/the-prehistoric-age), and the Avatar of [The Index](https://bookstack.home.mwr247.com/books/the-hand-of-the-divine-G7i/page/the-index-mike).

He first emerged from the spring at [the First Mountain](https://bookstack.home.mwr247.com/books/landmarks/page/the-first-mountain), followed by the rest of his kind. Together they founded the Minnoar capital of [Eithel](https://bookstack.home.mwr247.com/books/cities/page/eithel), and were given the sacred duty of preserving and disseminating the knwoeldge of the truth of creation and it's creators to the world.

At the end of the Prehistoric Age, Sanya foresaw the invasion of demons, and in response decided to seek out the Golem in the desert. Before leaving he challenged his people to stay true to their sacred duty with the following commission: "Do not stagnate, do not isolate, spread the knowledge as much as possible". Then he set out to the Golem, and according to legend it was he and the Golem uniting that formed the holy desert region, beckoning all races to come and find shelter there. Nonetheless, he disappeared from the world, and his ultimate fate is unknown.

Legends say he may one day return.
